Yesterday, together with all Victorians, we bid farewell to our founder and friend, Les Twentyman at a State Funeral at St Patricks Cathedral in East Melbourne.
No words can truly justify the positive impact Les made on the lives of thousands of young people and their families.
Les inspired all of us as we watched him selflessly dedicate his life to bettering the lives of others.
We thank Les for giving hope to those who had lost hope and opportunity, love and support to anyone who needed it.
Les never judged. He always listened.
Les would have been chuffed that a knock-about working class boy from Melbourne’s western suburbs had been granted the honour of a State Funeral and for that we thank the Premier, Jacinta Allan, who lauded Les’s life of service to others and the need to keep his legacy alive and flourishing
Together with our partners, the Les Twentyman Foundation will not just secure Les’s legacy, we will grow the programs that help the at-risk and vulnerable young people we work with.
Early intervention will remain the key.
