OFFICE MANAGER

LES TWENTYMAN FOUNDATION

  • Part-time position (25-30 hours per week), 12-month contract with option to extend
  • Based in the lively and multicultural inner-western suburb of Footscray

ABOUT THE ROLE
This hands-on role is part of a small team of close-knit professionals who are passionate about supporting at-risk youth. We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Office Manager to support our day-to-day operations. This is a part-time 12-month contract with extension likely based on funding.

Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Management Team, you will be ensuring the efficient operation of a range of business and administrative functions including the customer service for clients, administrative support for the CEO, key service provider management, human resources support and office and equipment support.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Providing a welcome and friendly environment for our team members, clients and other stakeholders
  • Providing administrative support to the CEO including diary management, correspondence and reports
  • Providing support on vehicles, office facilities and information technology working with contractors as appropriate
  • Providing administrative support on finance matters including credit cards, banking, invoices and receipts
  • Maintaining key policy, contract and risk registers and ensuring team members are across these processes
  • Supporting the team with broader administrative needs

EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communications skills
  • Qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Office 365
  • Experience working in a community organisation will be highly regarded

BENEFITS

The successful applicant will be rewarded with an attractive salary circa $60,000 (pro rata) plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the opportunity to increase the value of your take-home pay with an additional tax free component of salary. YOUTH WORKER

This is a challenging, meaningful and rewarding role working with one of Victoria’s most well-known youth organisations. Founded by the legendary youth worker Les Twentyman OAM, the Les Twentyman Foundation has been providing crucial support for young people and families for more than 30 years. Our grass-roots programs cover education, sports, counselling and employment pathways for at-risk youth. Our purpose is to provide positive intervention and support to enable young people to reach their full potential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This hands-on role is part of a small team of close-knit professionals who are passionate about supporting at-risk youth. We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Youth Worker to join our Youth Support Service (YSS) team. The YSS program provides case management for young people (10-17 years) upon first contact with police and who may be at risk of entering the youth justice system. The role is responsible for implementing strategies and counselling to connect young people with their families, community and education networks.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Undertake assertive outreach to initiate and maintain contact with young people
  • Implement a range of strategies including but not limited to: intensive individual case management, group work, family work, collaboration and care planning
  • Advocate on behalf of young people and build collaborative relationships with other key stakeholders to enhance service co-ordination
  •  Provide referral and links to a range of youth services including primary health, housing, legal, justice, employment/educational and recreational activities
  • Support program evaluation ensuring client files are up-to-date and proactively reflecting on and implementing opportunities for improvement

EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Family Therapy, Psychology or other health/welfare
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders particularly young people, schools, employment, and recreation services
  • Demonstrated high standard of documentation, reporting, compliance and policy management, legislation monitoring and organisational procedures
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Office 365
